YAY Baby Gear...

Wyatt had a really good christmas this year! He got lots of really cute clothes and necessities to help us with raising him including a new stroller (thank you David and Bonnie) and an awesome swing (thank you uncle Kissy Poo)! It was so much fun watching James and David assemble the Stroller and Car seat... and I don't even want to talk about trying to assemble the swing! Who knew assembling baby gear could be so complicated!

Merry Christmas to All!

It was so nice to be home for Christmas and even more to be able to spend so much time with my hubby. Its been months since I was able to see him for more than a random weekend here and there. I did have a little scare Christmas night with some bleeding. It seems as though each new trimester (Christmas day marked the first of my third trimester)! brings with some added drama. Check out Third Trimester Mishaps to find out what I am talking about. I will warn it may be inappropriate for any male, or if you are totally repulsed by the whole prego thing!

Merry Christmas to James...

I was lucky enough to actually surprise James this year with his Christmas present. We have been looking at getting a bigger bed since we got married. Obviously, king size beds are very expensive! James has been wanting a Tempur-pedic bed since they first came out. Unfortunately, those beds NEVER go on sale and I really love shopping for a good sale. I finally came across someone that said they would price match... even with AAFES (Army Air Force Exchange) its like our little shopping mall TAX FREE. Anyway, I was able to get a really great deal on one and I totally surprised James with it for Christmas! He was also very excited to know that there were 4 ladies in his bed... (not all at one time and not when he was there, but we helped break the bed in!) Me, my Mom, Amanda and Hollie! Needless to say we both really love the bed, it is highly recommended!

Festival of Lights Tour

Since James would be home in time to go to the festival of lights on James Island... we went! We were so excited to see all the Christmas lights in our new town. There was a long line to get into the state park, like 2 hours to travel 15 miles! But we knew it would be worth it... until we got to the gate and realized that we had NO CASH, James always has cash and for some reason this time he didn't. We were totally encompassed by other families going out to see the lights so we couldn't get out of the line. Once we drove up to the person to pay, he realized that the credit card machine was not working... holy crap, we held up the line for so long. Finally the manager came over and showed the kid how to reboot the system, after that our card went through and we were in... SUCCESS!! The lights were so cool, some were 3-d others were animated and all in all it was a wonderful experience. We were not able to get great pics, but we did get a few, enjoy! The picture with Santa is actually his workshop made of sand... pretty cool!

Argyle Up Close

BTW - I hope everyone else has noticed how this whole argyle trend has really taken off lately!Everysince I found the perfect bedding at Land of Nod and decided to do an Argyle pattern on the wall EVERYONE I see is wearing Argyle! They are all copycats, and I bet none of them have a cool design on their nursery wall!! Ha, just had to get that one off my chest! :-)
Here is a view of the finished wall, enjoy!

Nursery almost done!!

We have finally completed the Argyle on the wall. My "vision" was down-scaled quite a bit when it came to actually painting this on the wall. We decided that one wall would make a nice accent and it will be on the wall with the crib which also has the argyle design on the bumper!

Thank you so much to the following for making this come together. I COULD NOT have done it with out any of you!

Wall Paint - Michael

Argyle - Amanda and Mom

Furniture Paint - Chris and Hollie

All of the above mentioned people are for hire, but cannot duplicate the perfection that is in Wyatt's nursery, sorry!!

Once the nursery is completley done, I will post better pics!

25 Weeks Along...

After finding out I would not be able to select my own OB in Charleston since I was too far along, I had my first appointment with the Navy clinic. They have a team of 3 Ob's and a midwife. They only provide each patient with 2 ultrasounds and I was used to receiving one at each Dr's visit. So the midwife, Captain Cagnina agreed to an ultrasound for me! I also had to take a test to determine if I would have gestational diabetes... and I DON'T!!

My friend Hollie, was there with me for moral support. She had come up to Charleston to help me get settled after the movers, literally, dumped everything!

The house is moving right along...

We have had the hardwood floors installed and they will be totally done by tomorrow (cross your fingers!) I even got to get in on the action... oh yeah! The final result is beautiful, I mean there are still some finishing touches, but really it looks great! We are so lucky they are doing some extra things around the house for me... FOR FREE (sorta) actually in exchange for the old appliances we had before our new ones came. I think its a pretty good deal personaly!

My mom and Amanda came up this weekend to help me knock out the nursery and other odd jobs, thank god they did! We had fun and got a lot done too. Take a look at how the nursery has progressed so far! There is still a lot left to do, but we are off to a great start!

I Hope He Likes GREEN!!

After going almost a week with no Internet access, I am very happy to be back online and keeping you all up to date with what has been going on. My brother in law, Michael, was kind enough to volunteer his paining skills and come help me paint the house for a few days. We have knocked out 8 rooms in 2 days, that is pretty amazing if you ask me! We painted; the dining room, kitchen, living room, powder room, master bedroom, master bath, Wyatt's room and the guest bath. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP MICHAEL! Here are some pictures of Wyatt's room (for now) and bathroom. I know each of you will come by the house to see it in all its glory as soon as you can. Keep in mind we will be adding more colors to the wall in the form of an argyle pattern later! What do you think of the Greens?! BTW - I am still having people over to help with painting and decorating, if you are interested... let me know!
