James Gets His Wings!

Well, this week I was 8 weeks pregnant... and my hubby got the beautiful wings he has been working so hard for, for 2 years! We had a lot of family members that were able to come to Enid and celebrate this huge milestone with us!

Horseback Riding...

...at 8 weeks! No you are not supposed to ride horses when you are prego; however, I got permission from my doc before hand. This was mine and James' late anniversary present to each other and I am so glad that we did it. We have been married two wonderful years and when our real anniversary came around, our Lola had just give birth to 7 bulldog puppies! Once I raised them and got them to good homes, we were able to enjoy and celebrate our two years of marriage. Though I am a bit chilly in the picture and wearing a jacket, I already have a visable belly... what is going on?!

Opening Ceremony...

For me that is! Yes this is also the first day of the Beijing Olympics, but its also my first OB visit. James was with me which made it such a fun and memorable experience. We were able to see the baby today, it is such an amazing life changing thing... there is a human life growing inside of me, WOW! Check out our baby's FIRST PIC ever.

First visit with the OB!

So, being that this is our first child... we were anxious to see the Dr.! I found out I was pregnant on a Sunday and thought for sure I could get an appointment with the OB on Monday. Then reality set in, the Dr. do not like to see you until you are at least 10 weeks prego... not to mention there are all of 10 OB/GYNs in ENID (one female) and they all have 2 month waiting list! I was furious, how are you supposed to know if there is something wrong?! Well, I got lucky and called around enough until I found a new Dr. in town (Dr. McFadden) and he did not have the waiting list but still wanted to wait a couple weeks. I was able to get in 8 Aug 08... the same day as the Opening Ceremonies in Beijing, maybe our kid will be an olympian?! The Dr. was nice and very calming for a frantic first time mom and dad. James was able to video (on his phone) the babies first ultrasound... wow what a moment... there is really a baby in there!!
